Trending: Army green

 Jacket:Gina Tricot, Jeans: Ginatricot, Top:Monki, Shoes:Skopunkten

If you haven't noticed army green is making a come back this fall. Im looking forward to putting looks together with this shade of green together with ruby reds, denim and dark blues. For this outfit I just went for the very simple white and black base and with the army green I just added a little of colour. This look if you haven't guessed it already is perfect for errands and shopping. Don't you agree?

I found this location the other day when I was out walking around my neighborhood. As soon as I got there I knew that I would eventually come back to take some pictures for the blog... I didn't know that I was going to go back there this soon. But I'm glad that I did. Right?

Spectrum piercing: Sunday trend inspiration and cultural appropriation.

Today I've been obsessing about spectrum piercings / cuff ring/ nose rings. Somebody told me that I would look good in it. And I think they might be right!! Piercing my nose its totally out of the question, but I would totally try a fake one... Now, I know this trend has been around for awhile and honestly I wasn't ever thinking about jumping on the bandwagon. This simply because I see this as being part of the whole cultural appropriation machinery. But then I remember what Amandla Stenberg said:

"Appropriation occurs when the appropriator is not aware of the deep significant of the culture that they are partaking in"

I know this type of piercings are prevalent in many "non- white"/racialize cultures, so I think it would be totally impossible for me to have a deep understanding with or with out my postcolonial mind. But I know it would be a total different story If I was a white middle class girl. Right?

Minimalist meets boho

Trousers:Monki, Kimono:Monki, Shoes:Skopunkten: Top:H&M

Here is another piece that I got the other day when I was shopping at monki. The dress is called "marte dress" and they still have it online if you wanna get it!  Its super soft and the print are just so captivating to me so that's why I got it. I just realize that I have thing for this type of long kimonos and this modern Jasmine style. What I like to do when I were prints like this is to have a pretty basic ground and then you the print to bring it all together. I think its a great way to dress for those who might be a little bit careful with colors. I know that some might disagree, what could be more fearless than wearing a print as loud as this one. Either way Im totally in love with this look. Im gonna go to work now. But stay tuned for the upcoming post!

From now on...

Top:BikBok, Skirt: Monky, Shoes:GinaTricot

From now on... I promise myself to stop being in such a hurry! For a while now I have been looking back at what I have done over the past 6 years and I've notice that I've been living my life constantly in a hurry. Ever since I finished high school I've been in such hurry to finish this thing I called my never ending bucket list. I never got it until now,  but having a never ending bucket list is just not a healthy way of leaving. Specially if you don't appreciate what you have accomplished so far.  I had my life figure out step by step... thats what I though... But and now that Im almost at the end of this chapter I'm way to overwhelm to get my sh*t together!!  Where did all my energy disappear?  I know why I've been in such a hurry, but I don't know why I haven't been able to slow down.
I think I should just go to sleep now, before I go in too deep. Todays look is one of my favorite so far. Wearing black on black has become a thing that I can't let go... Sometimes I think to myself what would happen if one day I wake up to closet full of black and white clothes.

Lynnie Zulu for Monki

Top:Bikbok,Skirt: Lynnie Zulu for Monki, Shoes:Nelly.se, Sunglasses: Ginatricot

I don't know if you can tell, but I totally burned myself in Roskilde. My face its a little patchy and I think you might notice it...  I was using sunblock the whole time... But  it still didn't help. I promise I will be posting a Roskilde post with just bunch of pictures from my time at the festival. So, stay tuned for that!

I was free from work today so I took the opportunity to shoot two looks this morning. Even though I have a bunch of cute shorts that Im dying to put together in different looks for the blog. The first thing I wanted to wear was this gorgeous skirt by Lynnie Zulu for Monki. I didn't know who Lynnie Zulu was but Im sure I have seen her stuff here and there whiteout knowning it was her. Anyways, really loving the collection. I only got this skirt from the collection but I wouldn't turn down getting my  hands on more stuff.  The thing that made me get it was the fact that I always been dying to get try the midi skirt trend. But I wasn't sure if it would fit me. But once I put it on I couldn't put it back again.
